Children-Junior Beijing Opera Singers

In the theatre, there were no more than 20 people in the audience. On the stage were the junior opera singers, the youngest, only three years old. The theatre is inside the China Drama Institute.

They were playing the different roles in the opera and preparing for the 4th junior Beijing Opera Competition.

Most of them started to learn Beijing Opera from about the age of 3 or 4. They fell in love with the colour costumes of the opera artists.

Some of them attended all kinds of Beijing Opera competitions and got awards.
